Linda Thompson is a Folk Artist. A compatriot of Sandy Denny and Nick Drake. Her work with then-husband, Richard Thompson (Fairport Convention) on a series of brilliant and moving albums culminating with “Shoot Out The Lights” is remarkable in it’s beauty, honesty, reach and also in the war-stories generated from the road. Three critically acclaimed solo albums later (sandwiched around a remarkable 20 year exile from music), a song covered by Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, countless collaborations with the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Primal Scream and Antony & The Johnsons prove Linda to be more than just a Folk Artist but a bona fide Rock-N-Roll legend. John Brown’s Body are teaming up with The Hector Fund to raise the funds necessary to finance their first international tour. This truly independent band refuses to stay home and play the 20th century music game. Rather than pass on an opportunity to tour Australia and Europe to promote the Billboard charting release of Amplify - JBB is offering it’s fans everything from unreleased music and art to road trips with the band, festival tickets, dinner for ten and yoga lessons to an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii to see the band and the chance to be “guest listed for life” in exchange for the $50,000 in financial support necessary to make the tour happen.
